Homecoming Week - Aggies vs. Madison

In an effort to help build school pride throughout our school system, we have several activities scheduled during Homecoming week.  One of my favorite activities, during this week, is when the senior football players come to read to the 1st and 2nd grade classes.   When the seniors arrive, we line our students up on either side of the hallway.  The players walk down through the middle as the children cheer.

Then each player goes to a classroom and reads to a group of students.  Our kids always enjoy having the seniors come and the "big kids" seem to enjoy it too.  The players are often treated as celebrities and are often asked to sign autographs.  It is a fun day for all.

We also have a couple of dress up days throughout the week.  One of the days this year was "Biker Day - Roll Over the Cats."  I was unable to be at school that day (wink, wink) and my substitute was a very questionable looking fella.

On Friday, we finished up the week with Aggie Day.  Everyone wore their Aggie clothes to show their support.  The cheerleaders came and led a pep rally.
