Groundhog Day Predictions

We read the book Groundhog Day by Gail Gibbons.  We learned about a groundhog named Punxsutawney Phil that is used in Pennsylvania for Groundhog Day.  We talked about what it would have to be like outside, in order for Punxsutawney to see his shadow.  Then, we made predictions of whether or not he would see his shadow. The students who thought Phil would see his shadow, drew and cut out a yellow sun.  The students who thought he would not, cut out a cloud.  We'll check in the morning to see who was correct with their prediction.  Here is a little peek at our graph.
